About

What?

I spy a stranger with whom I'd like to make eye contact.

I approach them, tell them about the experiment, and ask if they're willing to participate.

If they say yes, we make eye contact for 60 seconds.

Afterwards, we talk about it.

Then I tell them about this blog and ask for their consent to use their name and photograph.

If they say yes, I take their picture.

Why?

This is an exercise in vulnerability, rejection, spontaneity, connection, focus, and empathy.

It's unusual and uncomfortable.
